MINUTES - SPECIAL MEETING <br />NEW BUSINESS: <br />JULY 17, 1986 Page 2 <br />The Civil Service Commission has hired a Secretary effective July 17, 1986, Marie J. Horner. <br />tters of regret will be sent to those interviewed but not hired to the position. These <br />tters will be prepared by Mark Musial and Pat Bahas'. <br />Correspondence received was reviewed by the Commission and given to the Secretary. Also,. <br />bills were received for newspaper notices. The Secretary was advised to hand them over to <br />the Finance Department for payment. <br />It will be necessary for the Secretary to bring the file up to date regarding past Commission <br />meeting Minutes as soon as possible and give copies to the proper Departments. <br />The results of the Police Officer entry level tests were received from the testing firm. <br />The Commission instructed the Secretary to.contact the school board and make arrangements <br />for the Police Agility test for sometime in'September, 1986. <br />The Secretary was instructed to send for four copies of the 1986 Ohio Civil. Service Laws and <br />Rules. <br />At this time, the Commission reviewed the correspondence received from McCann Associates <br />regarding the Police Officer test results. A passing grade of 76% was recommended by the <br />testing firm for this test. The Commission unanimously agreed to follow the recommendation <br />of the testing firm and determined that 76% will be used as the passing grade for this test. <br />The Identification forms were opened and the ID 'numbers were matched with the candidates <br />names. The Secretary will notify all the candidates of their test results. The top 25 <br />candidates will also be notified when to attend the Agility Test. <br />it Bahas will meet with Marie Horner on July 24, 1986, to introduce her to the Administration <br />acid to go over necessary office matters. <br />The next meeting of the Civil Service Commission will be held on July 24, 1986, at 8:00 p.m. <br />There being no further New Business, the meeting was adjourned at 10:35 p.m. <br />Respectfully submitted, <br />ari J.
