h
CIVIL SERVICE CONUIISSION - SEPTE14BER 22, 1988
Page #2
Commissioners elected to allow the secretary to sign the minutes of the
previous meeting as a correction is required on the signature page.
Police Department Candidate:
A candidate for the Police Department having taken the recent written
examination called the civil service office to complain he had not been
notified of the date and time for the physical agility test. He was
informed by the secretary that all twenty-five (25) candidates had been
notified and perhaps he should check with his local post office. Also,
Mr. Palko was informed that his concern would be discussed with the
commissioners at the September meeting. As a result of the discussion
at this meeting the commissioners reiterated the fact that there will be
no re -testing of candidates competing in the various categories.
Further discussion resulted in the determination that all future
mailings to candidates would contain a portion of the announcement to be
signed and returned upon receipt of the communication by the candidate
and returned to the commission office as soon as received. Therefore
the commission would be assured that the candidate was notified on the
date and time of the testing process - written - typing - physical
agility - psychological. The commissioners were in agreement that this
notice of receipt be sent to the candidate with a return, self-addressed
envelope.
There being no further business to come before the commission a motion
wd e t adj ur at 5:50 P.M.
------ - --- - --- ----- ---
Pe Sill, Secretary Robert A, Wendt, Chairman
