CIVIL SERVICE MEETING MINUTES
MAY 20, 1996
PAGE 3
OLD BUSINESS
Ronald Prebis asked to be notified when our next meeting will be.
Jim also said that the Commission is looking into lowering the amount
of points given for seniority.
Mrs. Kasler asked if this protest will hold up the promotion. Jim
Hines felt that we could go ahead with the promotions because even if
Mr. Prebis were to score 100% on the oral (if he took the oral) that
he would not be ranked high enough to effect the promotion. Therefore,
the Commission gave Chief Osterhouse the go ahead to hire the first
candidate for Lieutenant and Captain.
Lieutenant Exam.
On May 10, 1996 the results were sent out to all candidates who took
the written exam. for Lieutenant.
May 16, 1996 the oral results and rankings were sent to the top 6
candidates. Mike Ciarrone ranked 1st and will be promoted at the end
of May.
Captain Exam.
Final results were sent on May 10th to the 6 candidates who took the
Captain's written and oral exams.
