Page 13 Rule V Section III Maximum Allowable Credit for Firefighter Applicants <br />Please add: <br />In addition, entry level firefighter applicants may receive additional educational <br />point credit in accordance with the following scale: <br />1) Four year college degree in Fire Science equals three (3) points <br />2) Four year college degree in any field equals two (2) points <br />3) Two year college degree in Fire Science.equals two (2) points <br />4) Any two year college degree equals one (1) point <br />All entry level fire department applicants requesting any such educational extra point <br />credits shall be required to submit a copy of their diploma of graduation along with the <br />application for entry level examination. Such educational credit shall not be granted to <br />persons failing to comply with this requirement. <br />Please note: <br />• Under no circumstances shall any fire department applicant be granted more than <br />an aggregate total of five (5) combined extra credit points for military and <br />educational criteria. <br />Page 13 Section IV Addition of Allowable Credit ( Change ) <br />Extra point credit for Firefighter/Paramedic and Police applicants shall not be part <br />of, but shall be a credit, to be added to the applicant's total score resulting from the <br />competitive examination, provided the applicant receives a passing grade in the <br />competitive examination. <br />2 <br />
