Mr. Thomay reviewed that in the past the above mentioned newspaper have always carried the adds
for any test administered. Mr. Thomay questioned why the Sun Harold was not listed. The clerk
indicated that the Sun Harold was more expensive then the Plain Dealer and had less coverage area.
The board was informed that the ad would be sent to a list of places requesting that it be posted in
an area that would be viewable to the general public i. e. Schools, Libraries, Churches etc. Mr.
Thomay suggested that the ad be placed on the cable channel.
J. Thomay motioned to place the ad on the following dates; Westlife, Wednesday, March 6, 2002,
Chronicle, Friday, March 8, 2002 and Plain Dealer, Sunday, March 10, 2002. The motion was
seconded by R. Giesser and unanimously approved.
5. Commissioners need to make a motion to approve the application packet that will be distributed to
candidates.
Mr. Thomay indicated that he reviewed that application packet and ad and questioned if Mrs.
Giesser had reviewed the information. Mrs. Giesser suggested that as this was her first time
reviewing an application packet she really had nothing to compare. What she read looked fine.
J. Thomay motioned to approve the application packet as submitted. The motion was seconded by
R. Giesser and unanimously approved.
6. Commissioners need to make a motion on who will be the administrator of the Building Inspector
examination.
Mr. Thomay indicated that past practice has been that the Chairman be the administrator of the test
and the other Commissioners be monitors. Mrs. Giesser indicated that she would be unable to
attend the test.
R. Giesser motioned to have the Chairman administer the test and the clerks be monitors. The
motion was seconded by J. Thomay and unanimously approved.
7. Commissioners need to make a motion to move their regularly scheduled meeting date for March
18, 2002 to Tuesday, March 26, 2002, to accommodate the Building Inspectors application
deadlines.
Mr. Thomay motioned to set the next meeting date to Tuesday, March 26, 2002, at 6:30 p.m. The
motion was seconded by R.
