CIVIL SERVICE MEETINGS INDEX 2002 <br />FEBRUARY 25, 2002 <br />Commissioners need to continue the review of the North Olmsted Civil Service Handbook. <br />Commissioners need to re-evaluate the two testing companies reviewed last year and select one of them to <br />administer the Building Inspectors examination. <br />Commissioners need to make a motion on the request from the police department to remove Police <br />Candidate Timothy Cole's name from the Entry Level Police Officers list. <br />Commissioners need to chose a Chairman and Vice Chairman to serve through out 2002. <br />MARCH 1, 2002 <br />Commissioners need to make a motion to approve CPS as the testing company for the Building Inspectors <br />examination. <br />Commissioners need to make a motion to set the date of the Building Inspectors examination. <br />Commissioners need to make a motion to set the passing score for the Building Inspectors examination. <br />Commissioners need to make a motion on accepting ads to be placed in the Plain Dealer, Chronicle, and <br />Westlife newspapers as well as the dates to place the ads. <br />Commissioners need to make a motion to approve the application packet that will be distributed to <br />candidates. <br />Commissioners need to make a motion on who will be the administrator of the Building Inspector <br />examination. <br />Commissioners need to make a motion to move their regularly scheduled meeting date for March 18, 2002 <br />to Tuesday, March 26, 2002, to accommodate the Building Inspectors application deadlines. <br />MARCH 18, 2002 <br />Chairman Thomay motioned to rescind the previous motion to hire CPS to administer the building <br />inspector examination until such time as the hiring freeze is lifted. He motioned that all other motions <br />made at the special meeting of March 1, 2002 be revoked. Mrs. Martin seconded the motion. The motions <br />of the special meeting of March 1, 2002 to be revoked are as follows: <br />J. Thomay motioned to choose CPS as the testing company. The motion was seconded by R. Giesser and <br />unanimously approved. <br />J. Thomay motioned to set the time and place of the Buildings Inspectors exam to be April 26, 2002 at Old <br />Town Hall. The motion was seconded by R. Giesser and unanimously approved. <br />J. Thomay motioned to set the passing score of the Building Inspectors test at 70%. The motion was <br />seconded by R. Giesser and unanimously approved. <br />J. Thomay motioned to place the ad on the following dates; Westlife, Wednesday, March 6, 2002, <br />Chronicle, Friday, March 8, 2002 and Plain Dealer, Sunday, March 10, 2002. The motion was seconded by <br />R. Giesser and unanimously approved. <br />J. Thomay motioned to approve the application packet as submitted. The motion was seconded by R. <br />Giesser and unanimously approved. <br />R. Giesser motioned to have the Chairman administer the test and the clerks be monitors. The motion was <br />seconded by J. Thomay and unanimously approved. <br />Mr. Thomay motioned to set the next meeting date to Tuesday, March 26, 2002, at 6:30 p.m. The motion <br />was seconded by R. Giesser and unanimously approved. <br />
