Ubaldi made a motion to approve the expenditure in the rough dollar amount of $730 for <br />placing newspaper ads regarding the building inspector exam. The motion was seconded by J. <br />Thomay and unanimously approved. <br />Motion to set applicant's cost for exam <br />M. Ubaldi made a motion to set the cost for applicants to take the building inspector exam to <br />$10. The motion was seconded by J. Thomay and unanimously approved. <br />2. Continuation of Civil Service addressing Mr. Binggeli's questions and City positions covered by Civil <br />Service including Animal Warden <br />Mr. Thomay said they would have to table this issue since Mrs. Giesser is not present. Mr. Ubaldi said <br />he would like to make one comment. He said he dove into some of the paperwork where classification <br />was sorted out to a degree, and also the legal opinion of Mr. Dubelko, and other documents they were <br />provided with. He said it may not carry any weight right now but he made copies for everyone. He <br />said it will help them get started on the task. There are several positions where it is obvious and it will <br />be settled sufficiently and confidently. If they can some positions settled, they will find the number of <br />questionable positions is not nearly so staggering. Mr. Thomay said they previously requested a list of <br />job descriptions. He said he just received, prior to the meeting, a memo from the Director of Personnel <br />and Administrative Services, who is in the process of scheduling a meeting on this issue. He said until <br />that takes place, they will table the matter. He said this is his last meeting and he would like to make <br />sure Mrs. Giesser gets a copy of the memo and the report from Mr. Ubaldi. <br />3. Renewal of OPAC Testing Software Licenses <br />Mr. Thomay said there was a communication in his packet on the price to renew the licenses. He said <br />considering the prices listed, he would favor the renewal. Mr. Ubaldi said the figure is $859 for the <br />renewal. There was a brief discussion about the memo from the Director of Personnel and <br />Administrative Services on the use of the program. Mr. Thomay said the city has used the program <br />and they have to have some kind of software to provide for secretarial testing. Mr. Ubaldi agreed and <br />said he recalls another memo in the packet that indicates there is sufficient money to renew the <br />licenses. <br />J. Thomay made a motion to renew the OPAC Testing Software licenses. The motion was <br />seconded by M. Ubaldi and unanimously approved. <br />V. NEW BUSINESS: <br />1. Commissioners need to make a motion to certify the corrected documentation regarding Matthew <br />O'Donnell's test results on the promotional exam for Fire Lieutenant <br />Mr. Thomay said the board members received a memo that indicates apparently the scores on the fire <br />lieutenant's promotional test were not accurate. There was an error on Mr. Matthew O'Donnell's score <br />regarding his seniority points. Mr. Thomay reviewed the memo and pointed out the corrected score <br />does not change Mr. O'Donnell ranking. <br />J. Thomay made a motion to certify the corrected documentation regarding Matthew <br />O'Donnell's test results on the promotional exam for Fire Lieutenant. The motion was seconded <br />by M.
