Giesser moved to reject the application of Steven Pecaitis on the grounds that he failed to <br />provide adequate documentation showing he has a valid certified Paramedic card issue dated <br />prior to the filing deadline of August 9, 2004. M. Ubaldi seconded the motion, which was <br />unanimously approved. Application Rejected. <br />20. R. Giesser moved to reject the application of Barrie Nichta on the grounds that he failed to <br />return page 10 of the application package. M. Ubaldi seconded the motion, which was <br />unanimously approved. Application Rejected. <br />21. R. Giesser moved to reject the application of Andrew Szell on the grounds that he failed to <br />provide adequate documentation showing he has a valid certified Paramedic card issue dated <br />prior to the filing deadline of August 9, 2004. M. Ubaldi seconded the motion, which was <br />unanimously approved. Application Rejected. <br />22. R. Giesser moved to reject the application of Andrew Grino on the grounds that he failed to <br />provide adequate documentation showing he has a valid certified Paramedic card issue dated <br />prior to the filing deadline of August 9, 2004. M. Ubaldi seconded the motion, which was <br />unanimously approved. Application Rejected. <br />Discussion regarding processing fees took place and the commissioners reviewed that the <br />application packet, news paper ads and Civil Service Handbook each state that the processing fee is <br />non refundable. Therefore, the commission advised the clerk that the processing fees would not be <br />refunded to anyone. The clerk is to deposit all funds received with the finance department. <br />R. Giesser moved to accept the 104 accurately completed applications which are eligible to sit <br />for the Firefighter examination on August 19, 2004. M. Ubaldi seconded the motion, which <br />was unanimously approved. <br />The clerk reviewed that she would remain at work until all motions were transcribed and would <br />start placing telephone calls to those applicants rejectedfirst thing in the morning. The <br />commissioners requested that each candidate whose application is rejected also be sent a letter of <br />rejection. Mr. O'Malley indicated that he would assist the clerk in creating the rejection letters to <br />be sent out. <br />VI. ADJOURNMENT: <br />W <br />R. Giesser moved to adjourn the meeting. M.
