He took another job; waiting for a letter for voluntary removal from the eligibility list; <br />involuntary removal requires a notice and hearing; sending a notice of removal for a hearing at the <br />next meeting. <br />Mr. Ubaldi made a motion to send a notice for disqualification to Joseph Hum under Rule VII <br />"Eligible List", Section 8 "Disqualification and Notice", sub -section c "The eligible person <br />fails to report for, or arrange, within six (6) days (Sundays and holidays excluded) of the post- <br />marked date on his notification, an interview with the appointing authority" and sub -section 1 <br />"The eligible person fails any other requirement as specified by the Commission or the <br />appointing authority". Mr. Hohmann seconded the motion and unanimously approved. <br />Mr. Ubaldi made a motion per the request of the Safety Department to certify five (5) <br />candidates on the Firefighters Entry -Level Eligibility List. They are as follows: Matthias <br />Burke, Michael Fusco, Shaun Kasza, Joseph Hum, and Michael Cipriano. Michael Cipriano's <br />application packet will be forwarded to the Safety Director. Mr. Hohmann seconded the <br />motion and unanimously approved. <br />Request for Qualifications from Testing Companies <br />The Commission is working within a certain window and <br />better. Mr. <br />Hohmann seconded the motion and unanimously approved. <br />V. NEW BUSINESS: <br />Designations of Three (3) New City Positions <br />Mr. Ubaldi indicated to the Commission that no part-time positions for the City will be classified <br />therefore; the creation of a new part-time Assistant Director of Law and the addition of one (1) part- <br />time law clerk will be unclassified. The change in the nature of the position and duties of the Legal <br />Secretary to the Director of Law to providing secretarial services to all attorneys in the Law <br />Department will be classified and testable. Mr. Ubaldi indicated that this position is like the Clerk <br />of Commissions and does not fit any of the criteria set forth in the Charter for an unclassified <br />position. Ms. Zolar inquired if the current employee in that position should be tested. Mr. Ubaldi <br />indicated no and the only way that employee could be tested if she was a provisional, temporary or <br />emergency hire. Mr. Ubaldi indicated that this happened in the past with Robert Binggeli and that <br />his position would be grandfathered in and he would not have to do testing. <br />
