notices by regular mail; a "new location" sign at the library; time of test; new location site on the
extra Corrections Officer applications; highlighted notice on envelope.
V. NEW BUSINESS:
Review Entry -Level Firefighter/Paramedic Applications
Mr. Ubaldi reviewed all questionable applications for the Entry -Level Firefighter/Paramedic
Examination. The State of Ohio Paramedic certification must be included in the application packet.
The only exception was in 2004; if an applicant was taking the paramedic course and would have
completed between the time of submission and the date of the test and received verification, that
would be acceptable. A general discussion followed regarding the National Registry for Emergency
Medical Treatment and the State of Ohio Paramedic certification. There were thirty three (33)
applications in question; twenty four (24) were rejected; six (6) were approved; three (3) required
special letters.
Mr. Ubaldi made a motion to forward rejection letters and conditional warnings to the
applicants for the Entry -Level Firefighter/Paramedic Examination. Mr. Hohmann seconded
the motion and unanimously approved.
VI. ADJOURNMENT: Mr. Ubaldi made a motion to adjourn at 8:15 p.m. Mr. Hohmann
seconded the motion and unanimously approved.
U / 1'10 / 0-7
Michael Ubaldi, Civil Service
Donna Eccleston, Civil Service Secretary
