Barrett & Associates was rated the highest. In summary they have a more traditional approach; fair
pricing; thoroughness. However, Barrett & Associates mentioned challenges and there are some
questions on their fee structure. ISSG was rated second and they were the only one that quoted an
agility test. Tri -C does the agility testing for the City of North Olmsted at the applicants cost. ISSG
partners with ErgoMetrics and has interactive videos, custom to size and scope of the test. The
Commission does need more information on the turn key approach. OACP was rated third and in
summary their approach was very thorough; included problem solving; decisiveness; oral and
written communication skills; field approach and indicated two (2) challenges that did not go past
the Civil Service Commission. However, they are out of State and the City would have to add
travel expenses on top of the testing cost. Some of the testing firms are unable to meet the demands
of non -safety forces.
Mr. Barrett made a motion to interview ISSG and Barrett & Associates at the next scheduled
meeting. Mr. Hayes seconded and unanimously approved.
A general discussion commenced regarding clarification of the interviews scheduled for February,
2012.
V1. ADJOURNMENT: Mr. Barrett made a motion to adjourn at 7:45 p.m. Seconded by Mr.
Hayes and unanimously approved.
&lZ
Barrett, Civil Service Chairman /Dated Donna Eccleston, Civil Service Secretary
