Motion by Chairman Barrett, seconded by Commissioner Rahm, to certify the top seven (7) <br />candidates on the Secretary 11 Eligible List: 1) Renee Meinke, 2) Julieanne Embry, 3) Katherine <br />Suhodolsky, 4) Mary Check, 5) Maureen Barlow, 6) Mandy McClain and 7) Yolanda Zajdler. <br />Motion passed unanimously. <br />Promotional Fire Lieutenant Test <br />Safety Director D. Glauner requested the Commission to conduct a Fire Lieutenants test. <br />Discussion included focusing on management and leadership, twenty-six (26) eligible <br />candidates, tentative Fire Lieutenants calendar, and thirty (30) day study period versus a sixty <br />(60) day study period. <br />Motion by Chairman Barrett, seconded by Commissioner Rahm, to adopt the October tentative <br />calendar for the Fire Lieutenant Examination: July 13th Special Civil Service Meeting, July 101 <br />"Letters of intent", JuIy 28th deadline to submit "Letters of Intent", October 17th Written Test, <br />October 22"d results received/send letters, October 23`d send Oral Posting, and October 31" <br />Oral Assessment. <br />Motion passed unanimously. <br />Entry -Level Police Test <br />Safety Director D. Glauner requested the Commission conduct an Entry -Level Police Officer <br />exam. Discussion commenced regarding components of the test, location, mandatory agility <br />certification before the candidates take the test, amending Rule II Section 8 and other sections <br />regarding agility certifications, OPOTA certifications, amend Rule V to accept any Ohio certified <br />Police Academy for three (3) extra -credit points, and the Entry -Level Police Officer examination <br />calendar. <br />Motion by Chairman Barrett, seconded by Commissioner Rahm, to amend Rule II Section 8 and all <br />other applicable rules that applicants for the Entry -Level Police Examination must submit with the <br />application a completed agility certification to agree with the same rule applying to the Fire <br />Department. <br />Motioned passed unanimously. <br />Motion by Chairman Barrett, seconded by Commissioner Rahm, to amend Rule V. A certification <br />that is from any Ohio school certified Police Academy will be accepted by the Commission at the <br />time of the application will received three (3) extra credit points. <br />Motioned passed unanimously. <br />Motion by Chairman Barrett, seconded by Commissioner Rahm, to adopt the tentative dates <br />submitted to the Commission for the October Police Entry -Level examination subject to adjustment <br />based upon circumstances as they become known. <br />Motioned passed unanimously. <br />
