CITY OF NORTH OLMSTED CIVIL SERVICE COMMISSION MEETING CITY COUNCIL CAUCUS ROOM MINUTES — May 23, 2016 7:00 P.M. ROLL CALL: Chairman J. Barrett called the meeting to order at 7:04 p.m. PRESENT: J. Barrett and K. Rahm ALSO PRESENT: Human Resources Director C. Farver, Asst. Law Director B. O'Malley, Pradco Vice President L. Borodkin, Pradco Management Consultant J. Lubin. Personnel Selection Services P. Michalko, D. Love III, S. Barrett, and Civil Service Secretary S. Berkley II. DISPOSITION OF MINUTES: Motion by Chairman Barrett, seconded by Commissioner Rahm, that the minutes of the April 25, 2016 meeting be approved as received. Motioned passed unanimously. III. COMMUNICATIONS: There were 5 items of correspondence received and 4 items of correspondence sent out by the Civil Service Commission. IV. OLD I3USINESS: Hearing Regarding Removal of Name on the Entry -Level Firefighter/Paramedic Eligible List Motion by Chairman Barrett, seconded by Commissioner Rahm, to remove the name of Bryan Golay from the Entry -Level Firefighter/Paramedic Eligible List pursuant to Rule VII, Section 9(1). Motion passed unanimously. Motion by Chairman Barrett, seconded by Commissioner Rahm, to certify the name of Evan Rieke to the Entry -Level Firefighter/Paramedic Eligible List. Motion passed unanimously. Motion by Chairman Barrett, seconded by Commissioner Rahm, to accept the amended Entry - Level Firefighter/Paramedic Eligible List. Motion passed unanimously. Hearing Regarding Removal of Name on the Entry-1_,evel Patrol Officer Eligible List D. Love III addressed the Civil Service Commission regarding his position on the Entry- Levcl Patrol Officer Eligible List. General discussion commenced to determine to keep or remove 1). Love's name on the Entry -Level Patrol Officer Eligible List. Motion by Chairman Barrett, seconded by Commissioner Rahm, to table the hearing regarding the Removal of Name on the Entry -Level Patrol Officer Eligible List. Motion passed unanimously.
