CITY OF NORTH OLMSTED <br />CIVIL SERVICE COMMISSION MEETING <br />CITY COUNCIL CAUCUS ROOM <br />MINUTES - DECEMBER 19, 2016 <br />7:00 P.M. <br />I. ROLL CALL: Chairman J. Barrett called the meeting to order at 7:00 p.m. <br />PRESENT: J. Barrett, K. Rahm and W. Brake <br />ALSO PRESENT: Human Resources Director M. Gallo, Asst. Law Director B. O'Malley, <br />and Civil Service Secretary S. Berkley <br />II. DISPOSITION OF MINUTES: <br />Motion by Chairman Barrett, seconded by Commissioner Rahm, that the minutes of the November <br />21, 2016 meeting be approved as received. <br />Motion passed unanimously. <br />III. COMMUNICATIONS: <br />There were 6 items of correspondence received and 49 items of correspondence sent out by the <br />Civil Service Commission. <br />IV. OLD BUSINESS: <br />Entry -Level Firefighter/Paramedic Eligible List <br />Motion by Chairman Barrett, seconded by Commissioner Rahm, to remove the following name <br />from the Entry -Level Firefighter/Paramedic Eligible List due to the receipt of a voluntary removal <br />letter according to Rule VII, Section 10: Cameron Green. <br />Motion passed unanimously. <br />Motion by Chairman Barrett, seconded by Commissioner Rahm, to certify the name of Kevin <br />Butsko to the Entry -Level Firefighter/Paramedic Eligible List. <br />Motion passed unanimously. <br />Motion by Chairman Barrett, seconded by Commissioner Rahm, to accept the amended Entry -Level <br />Firefighter/Paramedic Eligible List. <br />Motion passed unanimously. <br />Entry -Level Patrol Officer Eligible List <br />General discussion commenced regarding the number of applicants and the status of the current <br />Patrol Officer Eligible list. <br />Motion by Chairman Barrett, seconded by Commissioner Rahm, to remove the following names <br />from the Entry -Level Patrol Officer Eligible List due to receiving voluntary removal letters <br />according to Rule VII, Section 10: Logan Kibler and Benjamin Miller. <br />Motion passed unanimously. <br />
