Minutes of a Meeting of the Board of <br />Building Code Appeals at the North Olmsted <br />City Hall - October 1, 1960. <br />Present were: Norman Carlton, Jack Foltz, Albert Dansberg, John <br />Marquard. <br />Absent were: Franklyn Yehlik <br />Also Present: Mr. Ernest Gundy, Building Commissioner. <br />The meeting was called to order at 10:00 A.M., by Acting Chairman, <br />Norman Carlton. <br />The minutes of the meeting of September 10th, 1960, were approved <br />as read. <br />Following a general discussion regarding the installation and <br />quality of materials in swimming pools, Mr. Dansberg recommended <br />that the Board meet with the Kemp Company, Swimming Pool Builders. <br />Mr. Carlton stated he would contact the Kemp Company for a study <br />of pools for the next meeting. <br />Mr. Carlton recommended Jack Foltz meet with the Mayor, Planning <br />Commission and Zoning Board for discussion to enact an Architectural <br />Board of Review, whose purpose it is to protect the value, appearance, <br />and use of property on which buildings are constructed or altered; <br />to maintain a high character of community development, to protect <br />the health, safety, convience, and welfare, to protect real estate <br />within this City from impairment or destruction of value. <br />Architects Purin and Hazen were recommended by the Board as <br />architects for the Architectural Board of Review. <br />Further discussion ensued regarding an answer from City Council <br />relative to the Regional Dwelling House Code, Paragraph 1513.12, <br />entitled 'Time Fee and Notice of Appeal" which was submitted to <br />City Council of North Olmsted on April 4th, 1960. Mr. John <br />Marquard stated that he would contact the Council, in writing, <br />requesting a written reply to the Chairman of the Board of <br />Building Code of Appeals stating their decision in this regard. <br />The meeting adjourned at 12:00 Noon. <br />The next meeting of the Board will be held November 5th, 1960, <br />at 10:00 A.
