Annual Report for 1958 of thg <br />BOARD OF BUILDING CODE APPEALS of <br />the City of North Olmsted, Ohio. <br />Organization Meeting August 16, 1958. <br />Members: Norman Carlton, 5 years; Chairman Albert Dansberg, 3 -year; <br />Secretary Marcus Pohner, 2 -year; George Reynolds, 4 -year; Franklyn <br />Yehlik, 1 -year. Appointments by Mayor Paul Gareau. <br />First Saturday of each month at.10 A. M. shall be regular meetings. <br />All hearings scheduled for Saturda mornings, 10 A. M. upon 3 -day <br />notice. No appeals entered in 195. <br />Special Meeting August 23, 1958. <br />Recommended to Council that a 10 -day waiting period be established <br />before building permit be issued by Building Commissioner. <br />Regular Meeting September 6, 1958. <br />Studied and analyzed various paragraphs of Dwelling House Code, <br />Special Meeting September 20, 1958. <br />Authorized separation of Sewer Builders Licenses from Plumbers and <br />Sewer Builders Licenses and established separate fee for each <br />license. <br />Regular Meeting October 4, 1958. <br />Added to Dwelling House Code, Chapter 15, Section 1515.02 that <br />individual acting as general contractor shall have 61000 perform- <br />ance bond issued. <br />Regular Meeting November 1, 1958. <br />Established a uniform bond for contractors to comply with Ordi- <br />nance No. 2645 and Section 1515.01, General Provisions, Chapter 15, <br />of Dwelling House Code. <br />Recommended that license forms be in different colors for the <br />different types of contractors. <br />Regular Meeting Dec. 6, 1958. <br />Discussed licensing and bonding with agreement that no permits <br />should be issued after Jan. 1 unless bond is on file. <br />Regular Meeting Jan. 3, 1959. <br />Accepted Building Commissioner E. Gundy's recommendation that bond <br />forms be printed for use by bonding companies for contractors need- <br />ing bonds to secure licenses. <br />Agreed that consultation shall be started with efficient persons <br />regarding the revision of the Plumbing Code. <br />Each member of the Board assigned a different part of the Dwelling <br />House Code to study and conduct research relating to improving the <br />health and safety of construction. <br />Respectively submitted <br />Marcus Pohner, Secy. <br />
