COMMUNICATIONS <br />Sign Code Update <br />Ms. Lieber said the City has entered into a contract with Compass Point Planning for consulting <br />services for the sign code update. Wendy Moeller is the principal of the firm and signage is her <br />area of expertise. Her first trip will be June 3`d and 4t" to start staff and stakeholder meetings. <br />Five major groups of businesses have been identified to be included in the stakeholder meetings: <br />commercial realtors and developers, sign industry representatives, larger chain business, small <br />local business and residents. The Chamber of Commerce has been invited to be involved in the <br />advisory and steering committee. There will be about four meetings for the advisory committee <br />to attend. She asked for at least two members of the commission to take part in the advisory <br />committee, Mr. Malone and Mr. Anderson volunteered. <br />2019 Master Plan Report <br />Ms. Lieber said the Master Plan Report includes the notable efforts of the year, such as the <br />Country Club East planning study, the parks and rec levy and the new Sidewalk Program. City <br />Council accepted the land donation from Kiwanis for the pocket park on May 7t" and a planning <br />committee will be created to design the park. Ms. Lieber suggested revisiting the report in 2020 <br />to reassess the goals of the Master Plan. Mr. Schumann asked where the report will be published, <br />Ms. Lieber said it will be posted on the city's website. <br />Mr. Malone moved, seconded by Mr. Anderson, to approve the 2019 Master Plan Report, <br />motion passed 4-0. <br />ADJOURNMENT <br />With no further business the meeting adjourned at 7:21 pm. <br />Greg a ne, Chair Nicole Rambo -Ackerman, Administrative <br />S ZZ <br />Assistant <br />� <br />Appr ved <br />
