CITY OF NORTH OLMSTED <br />CIVIL SERVICE COMMISSION MEETING <br />CITY COUNCIL CAUCUS ROOM <br />MINUTES - NOVEMBER 18, 2019 <br />7:00 P.M. <br />I. ROLL CALL: Chairman W. Brake called the meeting to order at 7:00 p.m. <br />PRESENT: W. Brake, M. Kelly and A. Campbell <br />ALSO PRESENT: Asst. Law Director B. O'Malley and Civil Service Secretary S. Freeland <br />II. DISPOSITION OF MINUTES: <br />Motion by Commissioner Brake, seconded by Commissioner Kelly, that the minutes of the October <br />21, 2019 meeting be approved as received. <br />Motioned passed unanimously. <br />III. COMMUNICATIONS: <br />There were 9 items of correspondence received and no items of correspondence sent out by the <br />Civil Service Commission. <br />IV. OLD BUSINESS: <br />Entry Level Police <br />The Commission reviewed each application in question. General discussion commenced regarding <br />applications with personal checks, no physical agility, expired agility, age requirements and <br />applications with military extra credit. <br />Motion by Commissioner Brake, seconded by Commissioner Campbell, to eliminate candidates 33 <br />and 43 for not following the payment rules by sending in personal checks. <br />Motion passed unanimously. <br />Motion by Commissioner Campbell, seconded by Commissioner Kelly, to eliminate candidates 2, 3, <br />6 and 37 for not having a Tri -C physical agility. <br />Motion passed unanimously. <br />Motion by Commissioner Brake, seconded by Commissioner Campbell, to eliminate candidate 21 <br />for turning in an expired Tri -C physical agility. <br />Motion passed unanimously. <br />Motion by Commissioner Brake, seconded by Commissioner Campbell, to allow candidate 38 to <br />take the Entry Level Patrol Officer's Exam. <br />Motion passed unanimously. <br />
