Seltzer House
Ms. Lieber said the Seltzer House nomination seemed like a possible project for 2021, so staff
reached out to the consultant who helped with the Design Guidelines and the cost would be
$6,000. Grant funding options were discussed and Certified Local Government grant funds
would probably be the best option instead of the Ohio History Fund. The CLG funding requires a
city contribution of 40%. Mr. Morse said the last piece needed to submit an OHI is a floor plan.
The consultant said an OHI is not required to apply for the National Registry, but a floor plan
will be required. Mr. Schumann suggested using an app that can do a floor plan using the camera
and having the Commission submit the application on behalf of the owners. Ms. Lieber
suggested coming up with a budget and schedule to prepare for 2022. The house will turn 100
years old in 2023 so the timing may overlap well. Ms. Lieber also pointed out that Springvale
will turn 100 in 2023 and the Commission can start working on the local recognition
requirements for Springvale too.
Zoning Code Update
Mr. Schumann asked if the temporary ramp at 25316 Butternut Ridge Road was approved by the
Landmarks Commission. Ms. Lieber said the applicant told staff the ramp would be removed
when no longer needed and they did not believe a temporary structure would require Landmarks
Commission approval. The homeowner was informed at the time that if the ramp became a
permanent structure, then it would require building permits and a Certificate of Appropriateness.
ADJOURNMENT
With no further business, the meeting adjourned at 7:38 pm.
avid Neville, Chair Nicole R o -Ackerman, Administrative
Assistant
Date:y'/ A9?dZ l
