CITY OF NORTH OLMSTED <br />CIVIL SERVICE COMMISSION MEETING <br />MINUTES -MARCH 15, 2021 <br />7:00 P.M. <br />I. ROLL CALL: Chairman W. Brake called the meeting to order at 7:00 p.m. <br />PRESENT: W. Brake and A. Campbell <br />ALSO PRESENT: Human Resources Director M. Gallo, Asst. Law Director B. O'Malley, Dan <br />and Civil Service Secretary S. Freeland <br />ABSENT: Commissioner M. Kelly <br />II. DISPOSITION OF MINUTES: <br />Motion by Commissioner Brake, seconded by Commissioner Campbell, that the minutes of the <br />February 22, 2021 meeting be approved as received. <br />Motioned passed unanimously. <br />III. COMMUNICATIONS: <br />There were 37 items of correspondence received and 7 items of correspondence sent out by the <br />Civil Service Commission. <br />IV. OLD BUSINESS: <br />V. NEW BUSINESS: <br />State Report <br />General discussion commenced regarding the 2020 Annual State Report. <br />Motion by Commissioner Brake, seconded by Commissioner Campbell, to accept the 2020 State <br />Report as submitted. <br />Motion passed unanimously. <br />Police Entry -Level Packets <br />The Commission reviewed each application in question. General discussion commenced regarding <br />applications with no physical agility, expired agility, no money and not being notarized. <br />Motion by Commissioner Campbell, seconded by Commissioner Brake, to eliminate candidates 13, <br />15, 21, 36 for not following the guidelines set forth in the Entry-level Police Packet. <br />Motion passed unanimously. <br />
