Motion by Commissioner Brake, seconded by Commissioner Campbell, that for the next six vacancies, the appointing authority encounters that four of those be tilled are considered from the lateral transfer list and two of those be considered from the traditional new hire list. Motion passed unanimously. Promotional Police Sergeant Exam General discussion commenced regarding the calendar dates for the Promotional Police Sergeant Exam. Motion by Commissioner Campbell, seconded by Commissioner Brake, to move the Civil Service meeting date from July 19, 2021 to July 26, 2021. Motion passed unanimously. Motion by Commissioner Campbell, seconded by Commissioner Brake, to accept the calendar with all the tentative dates for the Promotional Police Sergeant Exam. Motion passed unanimously. Motion by Commissioner Brake, seconded by Commissioner Campbell, to set the passing score at 70%, to weigh the written at 60%, and weigh the individual assessment at 40% and the top nine (9) candidates who pass the written exam can move on to the individual assessment. Motion passed unanimously. Amendment of Rule II Section 2 Applicant Qualifications to limit Transfer Applications to full- time officer for entry-level positions with the City General discussion commenced regarding the modified language for Rule II to clarify its intention to limit lateral transfers applicants to full-time candidates seeking entry-level positions with the City of North Olmsted. Motion by Commissioner Brake, seconded by Commissioner Campbell to accept the modified language as presented in for rule two, Section 1(b). Motion passed unanimously. VI. ADJOURNMENT: Motion by Commissioner Brake, seconded by Commissioner Campbell, that the meeting be adjourned. Motioned passed unanimously.
