CITY OF NORTH OLMSTED <br />CIVIL SERVICE COMMISSION MEETING <br />CITY COUNCIL CAUCUS ROOM <br />MINUTES -MAY 17, 2021 <br />7:00 P.M. <br />1. ROLL CALL: Chairman W. Brake called the meeting to order at 7:00 p.m. <br />PRESENT: W. Brake and A. Campbell <br />ALSO PRESENT: Human Resources Director M. Gallo, Asst. Law Director B. O'Malley, Patrol <br />Officer Margery Jones, and Civil Service Secretary S. Freeland <br />11. DISPOSITION OF MINUTES: <br />General discussion commenced regarding amending the April 19, 2021 minutes to include the <br />passing score, written weight, assessment weight and the amount of candidates that will proceed to <br />the assessment for the Promotional Police Sergeant Exam. <br />Motion by Commissioner Brake, seconded by Commissioner Campbell to accept the language for <br />the April 19, 2021 minutes as discussed. <br />Motion passed unanimously. <br />Motion by Commissioner Brake, seconded by Commissioner Campbell to accept the amended April <br />19, 2021 minutes. <br />Motion passed unanimously. <br />111. COMMUNICATIONS: <br />There were 35 items of correspondence received and 146 items of correspondence sent out by the <br />Civil Service Commission. <br />IV. OLD BUSINESS: <br />Police Lateral Eligible List <br />Motion by Commissioner Brake, seconded by Commissioner Campbell to remove candidate #14 <br />due to a voluntary removal and certify candidate #31. <br />Motion passed unanimously. <br />V. NEW BUSINESS: <br />Entry -Level Fire Packet Review <br />The Commission received 19 Entry -Level Fire applications. live applications will be reiected due <br />to an expired paramedic license, personal check and over our set time limit of 4:30 minutes for the <br />agility test. <br />
