Entry -Level Firefighter/Paramedic Eligible List Motion by Commissioner Brake, seconded by Commissioner Campbell, to remove Candidate original rank #3 due to voluntary removal and certify candidate original rank #7. Motion passed unanimously. Promotional Fire Lieutenant Written Examination/"lime Change The Fire Lieutenant examination has been scheduled for September 11, 2021 at 10:00; however, the Fire Department usually partakes in a 9/11 ceremony. This ceremony starts at 9:45 am and will conclude at 10:15 am. "The administration is requesting from the Commission to change the starting time for the promotional testing from 10:00 am to 11:00 am. The testing company and the testing site can accommodate the time change. Candidates will be notified of the time change. Motion by Commissioner Brake, seconded by Commissioner Campbell, to change the start time for the Promotional Fire Lieutenant examination from 10:00 am on Saturday, September 11, 2021 to 11:00 am on Saturday, September 11, 2021. The rest of the items on the posting will remain the same. Motion passed unanimously. Promotional Police Sergeant Written Examination/Protests The first protest is question #15: General discussion commenced regarding the protest; reviewing the question that is taken directly from the resource material. Motion by Commissioner Brake, seconded by Commissioner Campbell, that the protest is denied and that the Commission supports the recommendation of the testing agency. Motion passed unanimously The second protest is question #146: General discussion commenced regarding the protest, hours worked/vacation; holiday pay; double time for certain holidays; CBA used as a reference; throwing out the question. Motion by Commissioner Campbell, seconded by Commissioner Brake, to uphold the protest and to accept both B and C as the correct answers and to remove the question oil future exams. Motion passed unanimously. V. NEW BUSINESS: Pre -Employment Testing/Psychological The Administration is looking into psychological testing for Entry -Level and Lateral Transfers. Currently they are using Pradco which deals with behavioral and psychological but is interested in digging a little bit deeper. The Administration did some research and liked Cleveland Psychological Testing. Their cost per applicant is $650 and the Administration feels this is a good direction to go in and are looking to add another testing tool. General discussion commenced regarding the pre-employment testing process and the psychological testing for both Entry -Level and Lateral Transfers.
