BUILDING & ZONING BOARD OF APPEALS <br />CITY OF NORTH OLMSTED <br />MINUTES FOR NOVEMBER 1, 2021 <br />ROLL CALL <br />Chairman Allain called the meeting to order at 7:02 p.m. via online public meeting. <br />Present: Eric Allain, Bob Papotto. Ralph Mackey, Dan Rahm, Suzie Patton <br />Staff: t.aw Director Michael Gareau, Building Coordinator Katie Seeley, Administrative <br />Assistant Nicole Rambo -Ackerman <br />REVIEW AND CORRECTION OF MINUTES <br />Mr. Papotto moved, seconded by Mr. Mackey, to approve the Building & Zoning Board of <br />Appeals minutes of September 13, 2021, motion passed 5-0. <br />RESIDENTIAL APPEALS AND REQUESTS <br />21-20682; Margaret Ryan; 26734 Sudbury Drive <br />No representatives present. <br />Mr. Papotto moved, seconded by Mr. Mackey, to table 21-20682; Margaret Ryan; 26734 <br />Sudbury Drive until the next meeting, motion passed 5-0. <br />COMMUNICATIONS <br />21-20214; Robert Brady; 4441 Dover Center Road <br />Mr. Gareau reviewed the Reconsideration and Rehearing section of the BZ_BA Rules and <br />Regulations that were adopted February 5, 2018: <br />"No request by an Applicant to reconsider or to grant a rehearing will be approved by the BZBA <br />unless new evidence is described or new reasons submitted that could not reasonably have been <br />presented at the original hearing. Reconsideration as requested by an Applicant shall not be <br />granted in order to accommodate the applicant's demand to rehear and review the same <br />application, proposal and arguments." <br />It is the Board's responsibility to determine if the documentation submitted meets this criteria <br />and vote on whether to rehear the case at the next meeting. Mr. Allain reviewed the <br />documentation received from the applicant. hive pages were received including a letter from Mr. <br />and Mrs. Brady, a letter from Douglas Kent at 4461 Dover Center Road with images of other <br />properties, a site plan. example garage elevation and an aerial image from the county (:TIS <br />system. Mr. Mackey thought the property is much larger than some other properties in North <br />Olmsted. I Ie recalled that other variances had been granted for larger structures and did not think <br />the larger structure would distract from the nature of the neighborhood. Fle thought the reasons <br />for the applicant's storage needs were explained and the property would not be used for <br />commercial purposes. Mr. Papotto added that even though the lot is large and there are other <br />
