NEW BUSINESS 2021 State Report Motion bN Commissioner Flannery, seconded by Cornmissioncr CotoIan. to accept the 2021 Slate Report as submitted. Motion passed unaninrouslp. Entry -Level Firefghter'Paramet iclent Fntry-Level and Lateral Police Officer Fest General discussion followed, at length, regarding NTN s testing processescontinuous testing for $500 each department Lor a period of six (6) months to one ( I ) year constant lire list or short term testing for 5750 each department for a four (4) week to 6 months' window_ there will be a tew retirements from the Fire Department this year and the Police Department has a compliment of Porte -three (41) employees and can go up to fifty (50). The Police and Fire Departments will probably be hiring three (3) emplovees each within the next six (6) months. The Commission will need to establish dates, publish a notice and create an eligible list with the extra credit added to the scores. Motion by Commissioner Flannery, seconded by Commissioner Cotofan, to utilize the National Testing Network (NTN) continuous process with a timcfame or use the alternaicc short term process with a four (4) week window method_ Motion passed unanimouslN. General discussion cornmenced regarding the Lateral testing for Police Officer and Firefighter, Paramedic. Motion by Commissioner 1, lannery. seconded b Commissioner Cotofan, to complete the application process for Lateral Police Officer and Fire lighter,Paramedic and to run concurrent with the established dares for the Entry -Level Police Officer and Firefighter"Paramedic examinations. Motion passed unanimously. General discussion also commenced regarding the passing scores and weights of the components of the Entry-Le.el Police Officer and FirefighteriParantedic examinations. Motion b. Commissioner Plannery, seconded b. Commissioner Cotofan. to set the passing scores of each component to seven[. (7096) percent and one-third ( I'1) weight per each component.
