CITY OF NORTH OLMSTED CIVIL SERVICE COMMISSION MEETING CITY COUNCIL CAUCUS ROOM MINUTES -JUNE 20, 2022 7:00 P.M. ROLL CALL: Vice -Chairperson called the meeting to order at 7:01 p.m. PRESENT: A. Flannery, L Cowhim T. Fratini ALSO PRESENT: Human Resources Director L. Kidd, Asst. Law Director N. O'Malley, and HR Administrative Secretarc D. Eccleston IF. DISPOSITION OF MINUTES: Motion by Commissioner Flannery, seconded by Commissioner Cotofan to approve the minutes of May 16, 2022. Motioned passed unanimously. 111. COMMUNICATIONS: There were 39 items of correspondence received and 36 items of correspondence sent out by the Civil service Commission. IV. OLD BUSINESS: Police Officer Lateral Transfer Eligible I-ist General discussion commenced regarding the Police Officer Lateral Transfer Eligible List, tie wore, disqualification, application process, and pre-qualilving applicants. Motion by Commissioner Flannery, seconded by Commissioner Cotofan_ to certify the Police Officer Lateral Transfer Eligible List. Motion passed unanimously. Motion by Commissioner Flannery, seconded by Commissioner Comfam to cenifv the top fifteen (15) names to the appointing authonty - Motion passed unanimously. General discussion followed concerning the rules which indicate that the lateral transfer candidates will not be competing with the entry-level candidates. Human Resources Director Kidd advised the Commission that Safety Director Scofield could not attend tonight's meeting but wanted to relay that she is respectfutly asking if the first two vacancies for Police be filled off the lateral list and then the following two off the entry-level list. There are eight vacancies; however, the Satety Director would like to take care of the first four vacancies and then approach the Commission at a later date to discuss the remaining vacancies-
