CITY OF NORTH OLMSTED CIVIL SERVICE COMMISSION MEETING CITY COUNCIL CAUCUS ROOM MINUTES -AUGUST 15,2022 7:00 P.M. ROLL CALL: Commissioner called the meeting to order at 7:1 a p.m. PRESENT: J. C'omfan. I I ratini PRESENT BY PITON E: Safety Director J. Scofield. Police ( hict B. Wagner ALSO PRESENT: Human Resources Director L. Kidd. Asst. Law Director B. O Malley. and HR Administrative Secretary 1) Eccleston IL DISPOSITION OF MINUTES: Motion by Commissioner Cotofan. seconded by C'ontmissioner Fratini to appnrvc the minutes of Juh IS.2013. Motioned passed unanimously. ID. COMMUNICATIONS: There were 7 items ofcorrespondence received and 7 items of correspondence sent out b} the Civil Service Commission. IN. OLD BUSINESS: Entry -Level and Lateral Transfer Police Officer Fligiblc Lists A memo was sent from Safety Director Scofield regarding the eight (R) vacancies in the Police Department. there are two (2) conditional offers from the Police Officer Lateral Transfer Eligible List and one ( I ) conditional offer from the Police Officer fair, -Level Eligible List. General discussion commenced concerning poIvgraphs, interviews. limited candidates. Motion by Commissioner Cotofan, seconded by Commissioner Fratini to designate vacancies 4 and 96 from the Police Officer Lateral Transfer Fligiblc I.ist: vacancy 47 from the Police Officer Entry -Level Fligible List and, %acanev hR from either Police Officer Fntry-Level or Lateral Transer Fligible List. Motion passed unanimmisly- Police Chief Wagner discussed the conditional offer situation of Kyle Raulerson. Mr. Raulerson is a candidate on the Police Officer ft tp-Letcl Fligiblc I sn former United States Marine getting ready for deployment on August '' -3`°: quite a bit ofof icer training from the military and police academ%y in North Carolina and Florida. Mr. Raukrson s Tri -C agility certification expired in March, 3022 and took and passed the IS'C'C agility test, Since he will be dcploycd in late ALomst. Chief Wagner is requesting of the Civil Service Commission to accept Mr. Raulerson's LC CC agility certification in lieu of a Tri-(- agility certification- General discussion commenced regarding Rule II, Section Ra. "This rule only allows Tri -C agility certifications.
