Discussion commenced regarding the 102, Civil Service 6Lid geL The information on the budget <br />sheet is the recommendation from the Safety Director due to possihle retirements: an entrN-Ievel <br />examination or lateral process may be requested from either Police or Fire. etc. <br />Legal Counsel advised that the Commission has hco testing companies: Personnel Selection <br />Services (PSS) and Pradco. Personnel Selection Services use to do all the entre_ -level however. <br />since the online testing through National Testing NeRvork (NTN) they will do the written portion of <br />the promotional testing. Pradco conducts the psychological evaluation included in the oral <br />assessment as well as the pre-employment psychological assessment for new hires. Both of those <br />contracts are coming to a conclusion. More than a couple ofyeurs ago the Commission irl iewcd <br />testing companies and then the Commission dispensed with Lite RFP process and has retained the <br />current testing companies. There has been high praise for these companies and in the past there <br />were not that many testing companies in the field. <br />Motion by Commissioner Flannery, seconded by Commissioner Cotofan to accept the 3013 Civil <br />Service Budget and to retain the testing companies for a period of two years providing the inflation <br />cost is within reason. <br />Motion passed unanimously. <br />Commissioner Cotofan inquired it the Administration ever conducted It survey regarding where the <br />applicants heard about the CAN postings. Human Resources Director Kidd indicated that we do <br />not survey the applicants but we can in the future. <br />2023 Calendar <br />General discussion commenced regarding the 3023 calendar. The Civil Service meetings are <br />scheduled on the third Monday of each month except January and February due to Marlin Luther <br />King. Jr. Day and President's Day; therefore. for those months the meetings will be held on the <br />berth Monday. <br />Motion by Commissioner Flamterg, seconded by Commissioner Fratini to accept the Civil SerN ice <br />2023 Calendar as submitted. <br />Motion passed unanimously. <br />VI. ADJOURNMENT: <br />Motion by Commissioner Flannery, seconded by Commissioner Fratini that the meeting, be <br />adjourned. Motioned passed unanimously.
