PLANNING & DESIGN COMMISSION <br />CITY OF NORTH OLMSTED <br />MINUTES OF DECEMBER 14, 2022 <br />ROLL CALL <br />Ms. Olivos called the meeting to order at 7:04 pm via online meeting. <br />Present: Mary Ellen Hemann, Darrick Matthews, Humberto Olivos, Tom Patton <br />Absent: Julie Nader, Dave Anderson, <br />Staff. Economic & Community Development Director Max Upton, Service Director Kevin <br />Kearney, Assistant Law Director Bryan O'Malley, City Engineer Pietro DiFranco, Brian Blum <br />Superintendent Waste Water Treatment Plant, City Planner Nahid Parsipour, Administrative <br />Assistant Kristine Jones <br />COMMISSION ORGANIZATION <br />Mr. Matthews moved, seconded by Mr. Patton, to elect Mr. Olivos for Chair for the <br />December 14, 2022 Planning and Design meeting, motion passed 4-0. <br />REVIEW AND CORRECTION OF MINUTES <br />Mr. Olivos moved, seconded by Mr. Matthews, to approve the Planning & Design <br />Commission minutes of October 26, 2022 and November 9, 2022. Motion Passed 4-0. <br />NEW BUSINESS <br />22-23134; Country Club Condominium Owners Association, 25561 Country Club Blvd <br />Proposal of removing three trees from behind 25320 Clubside Drive and replacing them with two <br />trees located on the tree lawns of 25320 and 25315 Clubside Drive. <br />There were no representatives present for case number 22-23134. <br />Mr. Olivos moved to table the request until the next Planning and Design meeting. Motion <br />Passed 4-0. <br />22-23436; City of North Olmsted Waste Water Treatment Center, Parcel: 234-21-009 <br />Proposal of construction of a new South EQ Basin & Pump Station Building. <br />Representative: Eric Fallon, Project Manager, CT Consultants <br />Resident: Geoffrey Moyse, 6271 Sterns Road. <br />Mr. Fallon explained that this project is for the south side interceptor which conveys a large part <br />of the municipal sanitary waste water flow to the plant. Previously, this sewer had been modeled <br />by CT consultants due to problems with basement flooding's. There is one low lying manhole <br />that during a large enough storm the hydraulics actually surcharge the manhole, and wastewater <br />could potentially come out the top of the manhole. Therefore, this is an equalization tank that <br />will be utilized during larger storm events to provide hydraulic relief to the south interceptor. <br />The purpose of the tank is to avoid basement flooding, and a potential manhole overflowing. <br />1 <br />i <br />
