CITY OF NORTH OLMSTED <br />CIVIL SERVICE COMMISSION MEETING <br />CITY COUNCIL CAUCUS ROOM <br />MINUTES — FEBRUARY 27, 2023 <br />7:00 P.M. <br />I. ROLL CALL: Chairperson called the meeting to order at 7:04 p.m. <br />PRESENT: A. Flannery, J. Cotofan, T. Fratini <br />ALSO PRESENT: Human Resources Director L. Kidd, Assistant Law Director B. O'Malley, <br />and HR Administrative Secretary D. Eccleston <br />II. DISPOSITION OF MINUTES: <br />Motion by Commissioner Flannery, seconded by Commissioner Cotofan to approve the minutes of <br />January 23, 2023. <br />Motion passed unanimously. <br />III. COMMUNICATIONS: <br />There were 21 items of correspondence received and 34 items of correspondence sent out by the <br />Civil Service Commission. <br />IV. OLD BUSINESS: <br />Promotional Police Lieutenant Results/Certify Ranking List <br />General discussion commenced regarding the Promotional Police Lieutenant examination. There <br />were six (6) candidates invited to take the promotional examination. Five (5) candidates accepted <br />and one (1) candidate declined. The results are: rank #1, Daniel Barrett received 92% for the <br />Pradco Assessment with 10 points for seniority credit giving the candidate a 102%; rank #2, Charles <br />Fioritto received 80% for the Pradco Assessment with 10 points for seniority credit giving the <br />candidate a 90%; rank 43, Matthew Beck received 76% for the Pradco Assessment with 10 points <br />for seniority credit giving the candidate a 86%; rank #4, Donald Walling received 72% for the <br />Pradco Assessment with 10 points for seniority credit giving the candidate a 82%; and rank #5, <br />Steven Dombek received 72% for the Pradco Assessment with 10 points for seniority credit giving <br />the candidate a 82%. Rank #4 and #5 were tied; therefore, pursuant to Rule IV, Section 3 the tie <br />breaker is by seniority. <br />Motion by Commissioner Flannery, seconded by Commissioner Cotofan, to accept the results for <br />the Promotional Police Lieutenant examination and to certify the ranking list. <br />Motion passed unanimously. <br />Firefighter/Paramedic Entry -Level Eligible List <br />Discussion continued regarding the Firefighter/Paramedic Entry -Level Eligible List. Original rank <br />#19 is a voluntary removal; original rank #22 is a voluntary removal; original rank #24 is a <br />
