CITY OF NORTH OLMSTED SPECIAL CIVIL SERVICE COMMISSION MEETING CITY COUNCIL CAUCUS ROOM MINUTES —JUNE 12, 2023 7:00 P.M. I. ROLL CALL: Chair called the meeting to order at 7:10 p.m. PRESENT: A. Flannery, J. Cotofan, T. Fratini ALSO PRESENT: Assistant Law Director B. O'Malley and HR Administrative Secretary D. Eccleston II. DISPOSITION OF MINUTES: Motion by Commissioner Flannery, seconded by Commissioner Fratini to approve the minutes of May 22, 2023. Motioned passed unanimously. III. COMMUNICATIONS: There was 1 item of correspondence received and 11 items of correspondence sent out by the Civil Service Commission. IV. OLD BUSINESS: Police Officer Entry -Level Eligible List General discussion commenced regarding the Police Officer Entry -Level Eligible List. There were forty-three 43 applicants that took the on line NTN (National Testing Network) examination. Twenty-one (2 1) applicants passed the examination; thirteen (13) applicants failed the examination; six (6) applicants did not submit either their driver's license and/or high school diploma; one (1) applicant did not submit their PHQ (Personal History Questionnaire); one (1) applicant had expired test results; and one (1) candidate was incomplete. Original rank #7 and 48 had tied scores; therefore, pursuant to Rule IV, Section 2, priority in time of filing the application was used to determine the candidates' ranking. Motion by Commissioner Flannery, seconded by Commissioner Cotofan to certify the Police Officer Entry -Level Eligible List. Motion passed unanimously. Firefighter/Paramedic Entry -Level Eligible List General discussion followed regarding the Firefighter/Paramedic Entry -Level Eligible List. There were fifty-five (55) applicants that took the on line NTN (National Testing Network) examination. Twenty-two (22) applicants passed; twelve (12) applicants did not submit either their driver's license and/or high school diploma; nine (9) applicants did not submit their PHQ (Personal History Questionnaire); twelve (12) applicants failed the examination.
