BUILDING & ZONING BOARD OF APPEALS <br />CITY OF NORTH OLMSTED <br />MEETING MINUTES FOR MARCH 4, 2024 <br />ROLL CALL <br />Mr. Papotto called the meeting to order at 7:01 p.m. in Council Chambers. <br />Present: Bob Papotto, Ralph Mackey, Dan Rahm, Michael Kovach. Suzie Patton <br />Staff: Director Max Upton, Building Coordinator Katie Seeley, Law Director Michael Gareau. <br />Administrative Assistant Lyn Wilson <br />MEETING MINUTES <br />Mr. Rahm moved to approve the meeting minutes of September 11`x. 2023 and February 5`" <br />2024: seconded by Mr. Kovach. All in favor: none opposed. <br />RESIDENTIAL APPEALS AND REQUESTS <br />21-2024; Cook; 24398 Beech Lane <br />Representatives: Steven & Karen Cook: 24398 Beech Lane <br />Ms. Seeley explained that the proposal involves a new detached garage. with a single variance <br />request for a 96 -square -foot deviation. The applicant opted for an 864 -square -foot grarage. <br />measuring 24 feet by 36 feet. The driveway will be 24 feet wide at the maximum vtidth. <br />extending no further than the furthest point of the,ara�,,e to avoid additional variance requests. <br />The garage height at the beams is 15 feet and complies with regulations. The Cuyahoga County <br />Auditor's mapping does not accurately reflect the property. but the legal dimensions are correctly <br />recorded as per the survey provided by the applicant, indicating a legal frontage of 60 feet and a <br />length of 233 feet. <br />Mrs. Cook explained they performed a full remodel of the interior and exterior of the house and <br />the last item they wanted to achieve was to build a bigger garage. <br />Mr. Rahm moved to approve 21-2024; Cook: 24398 Beech Lane; seconded by Mr. Kovach. <br />Board members agreed that the upgrades looked nice and added value and felt that the variance <br />request did not seem to be excessive. <br />Motion Passed: 5-0 <br />22-2024; Amato Homes; Mastick Road <br />Representatives: Anthony Crea from Crea Realty Group, Keith Ramach of Flo"vard Hannah. <br />Sharon Serial on Columbia Road, Tammy McKay -Hughes on Columbia. Maria Calo on <br />Columbia. and Michael Rosato on Mastick. <br />
