BUILDING & ZONING BOARD OF APPEALS <br />CITY OF NORTH OLMSTED <br />MINUTES FOR JUNE 3, 2024 <br />ROLL CALL <br />Mr. Papotto called the meeting to order at 7:03 p.m. in Council Chambers. <br />Present: Bob Papotto, Dan Rahm. Ralph Mackey, Suzie Patton <br />Absent: Mike Kovach <br />Staff. Director Max Upton, Building Coordinator Katie Seeley. Law Director Michael Gareau. <br />Administrative Assistant Lyn Wilson <br />MEETING MINUTES <br />The meeting minutes of December 4, 2023 and May 6, 2024 were approved; all in favor none <br />opposed. <br />Mr. Rahm motioned to remove from the agenda and continue to the next meeting 68-2024: <br />Vitrum Smoke Shop; 25193 Lorain Road. seconded by Ms. Patton, all in favor. none opposed. <br />Mr. Rahm motioned to remove from the agenda and continue to the next meeting 81-2024: <br />Savers, 26035 Lorain Road: seconded by Ms. Patton, all in favor none opposed. <br />RESIDENTIAL APPEALS AND REQUESTS <br />75-2024; Bryan & Debra Brooks; 6009 Dorothy Drive <br />Representative: Mark Williams from Joyce Factory Direct representing Mr. and Mrs. Brooks. <br />The project was a new sunroom. It involved a 10 -foot variance for a rear yard setback of a <br />swelling. The code required 50 fee, but the applicant showed 40 feet. Joyce was engaged by the <br />Brooks to replace the existing screen rom structure with a new sunroom structure. They <br />replicated the footprint, so nothing was changed in the footprint. This was a Joyce manufacturing <br />2600 sunroom system. It would look substantially similar to the existing structure. except where <br />there was a screen there would be glass. <br />Mr. Rahm motioned to approve 75-2024: seconded by Ms. Patton. <br />Motion Passed: 4-0 <br />76-2024; Dan Zauner; 6369 Barton Road <br />Representative: Dan Zauner <br />This proposal was for a detached garage with two variance requests. The first was a 1.224 sq. ft. <br />variance for the area of the private garage. The code permitted 750 sq. ft., but the applicant <br />showed 1,974 sq. ft.
