The applicant sought approval for a 256-square-foot shed,while <br /> the code permitted 150 square feet, creating a 106-square-foot variance request. The shed was <br /> proposed at 16 by 16 feet with an 11-foot, 9-inch height and included a 4-foot porch. <br /> The applicant explained the shed would provide storage for pool supplies,furniture,and a lawn <br /> tractor, freeing up garage space.He emphasized accessibility for his wife,who uses a <br /> wheelchair,noting that the shed's design and porch would allow her to garden independently and <br /> have shaded space outdoors. <br /> The building department noted that the addition placed the property at the 20%rear yard <br /> coverage limit,given the pool,walkways, and other improvements.No further comments or <br /> questions were raised by staff or board members. <br /> Mr.Mackey motioned to approve 291-2025;Richard Devries; 6170 Gareau Dr.; seconded by <br /> Ms. Galateanu <br /> Motion Passed:4-0 <br /> 297-2025; Ava Haglund; 3446 Tree Ln. <br /> Case 297-2025 at 3446 Tree Lane involved a request for a variance to allow a storage shed on a <br /> corner lot within the required front building setback along the side street.The applicant proposed <br /> an 8-by-10-foot shed next to the garage, explaining that the lot's unusual layout left no other <br /> 1 <br />
