The Commission should review the plan for further discussion at the next <br /> meeting. <br /> OLD BUSINESS <br /> Springvale Ballroom Landmark Designation <br /> The 100th anniversary of the Ballroom will be in May 2023. According to the requirements in <br /> Section 165.05, a report needs to be prepared for the Commission's approval. The Planning and <br /> Design Commission will need to submit a letter of support before going to City Council to approve <br /> the local landmark recognition. Mr.Neville will help coordinate the next committee meeting.Mr. <br /> Limpert asked if the staff at Springvale have been included with this project. Ms. Rambo- <br /> Ackerman explained that the Springvale staff are excited about the recognition and are already <br /> coming up with ideas to celebrate next year. <br /> Seltzer House <br /> The 100th anniversary of the Seltzer Home will be in December 2023. Mr. Morse will work on <br /> getting the floor plan of the house before the next meeting.Mr.Morse suggested getting the home <br /> listed on the Ohio Historic Inventory as well. The documentation needed for both nominations <br /> should overlap considerably. Ms. Rambo-Ackerman will prepare an application timeline to make <br /> sure everything is done on time. <br /> COMMUNICATIONS <br /> Historic District Signage <br /> Mr. Upton explained that the brown Historic District sign at the corner of Butternut Ridge Road <br /> and Great Northern Boulevard was damaged and is being kept in the City Hall Fleet Garage. Staff <br /> have asked Guide Studio to prepare plans to install new district signage that will coordinate with <br /> the city's branding. He did not think it was practical to re-install the old sign when new signage <br /> for the district was included in the 2017 Gateways Plan.Mr.Dubowski pointed out that the signage <br /> is also included in the Historic Preservation Plan. Mr. Neville thought the old sign may be <br /> something the Olmsted Historical Society may be interested in acquiring. <br /> • <br /> Certificates of Appropriateness <br /> A minor change for a new roof at 26885 Butternut Ridge Road was approved on December 14, <br /> 2021.Another minor change for a rear yard fence replacement at 27230 Butternut Ridge Road was <br /> approved on January 13.
