Commissioner Dubowski questioned whether a darker-colored
door might be more appropriate for the house's appearance. The'conversation then turned to the
design of the original door, with Mr. Neville suggested that a geometric design might be more
fitting for a mid-century modem house. Overall, the commission members expressed openness to
the proposed door replacement but raised considerations about its compatibility with the house's
._ • architectural style.Mr.Gearhart suggested that the door matches the white window frames already
present.Ms.Martindale defended her choice, emphasizing its practicality and aesthetic appeal.
Mr. Madden moved, seconded by Mr. Gearhart, to approve the Certificate of
Appropriateness for the replacement of the broken front doors(main door and storm door)
with new doors. The motion passed 5-0.
ADJOURNMENT _
With iL
further busines e meeting adjourned at 7:'19 PM on March 11,2024.
