Mr. Dubowski emphasized that the development fronts should not be visible from the street. <br /> Mr. Neville emphasized that some of the landmark trees should remain. Ms. Egan Reeves <br /> inquired about the size of the individual units and the revival style of the new construction and <br /> the access road widths as well as the status of the Biddolph house and the garage.COA. <br /> O'Malley commented that the COA of the Biddolph was approved as a detached structure and <br /> that homes are required to have a garage. Mr. Madden inquired if the property had an active <br /> COA on the property and implied that it should encompass the entire property. Mr.Neville <br /> indicated that there were two separate COA's, one from the previous owner that was still <br /> standing. <br /> Mr. Sommers commented:They are committing to saving that bid-off house.The wish is to use <br /> the code to build the houses to comply with the regulations as set forth in Section 9 and 10 of <br /> the code-without replicating architecture but rather to build contemporary architecture that's <br /> designed for today's living. <br /> Mr. O'Malley described several buildings that once stood in the district and advised to the <br /> commission what their role should be.A lengthy discussion took place regarding the <br /> rehabilitation of the Biddolph property. <br /> Public comment was taken from several residents for the next 48 minutes, all were opposed to <br /> the Stearns Row project, including councilwoman Hemann,who spoke extensively in opposition <br /> to the project. <br /> Mr. O'Malley answered a question of Mr. Dubowski pertaining to rezoning to a Planned <br /> Development site plan and that the council would not approve a zoning change without seeing <br /> and approving a site plan. <br /> COMMUNICATIONS <br /> None further <br /> ADJOURN <br /> Adjournment: Madden motioned, Dubowski seconded. Mr. O'Malley corrected the chair and <br /> urged him to call a roll to table the matter until November. Motioned passed unanimously and <br /> adjourned at 9PM. <br />
