R <br /> meet with Dan Crandall, Director of Marketing and Business Development <br /> for Great Northern Mall. He also informed the group of the upcoming <br /> Community Resource Fair to be held at Great Northern Mall from 11 a.m. <br /> to 2 p.m. on Saturday, May 11. Chairman Boulton began correspondence <br /> with LAND Studio, a Cleveland group which aspires to work collaboratively <br /> with artists, designers, residents and local and regional partners to create <br /> civic spaces. Chairman Boulton said eh also met with Katie Power, MLIS, <br /> the Teen Librarian at North Olmsted's branch of the Cuyahoga County <br /> Public Library about future collaborations and the possibility of showcasing <br /> some library made artwork at the City's Homecoming weekend. <br /> Assistant North Olmsted Law Director Bryan O'Malley gave updates on <br /> possible 501 c 3 status and community murals. Director O'Malley <br /> recommended that this 501 c 3 designation not be pursued at this time. <br /> With regard to community murals, Mr. O'Malley said he contacted City of <br /> Parma Economic Development Director Erik Tollerup, who informed him <br /> that Parma has no special codification for the several murals they have in <br /> the City, primarily in the Polish Village area along Ridge Road. The City <br /> commissioned the artists to create the murals and then subsequently <br /> purchased the mural artwork, to avoid any conflict of interest. Community <br /> Development Block Grant Funds can be used to pay for murals, O'Malley <br /> said. There is a streetscape category which applies as a part of CDBG <br /> funds. <br /> Special guest at the meeting was North Olmsted resident Mary Gut, who <br /> indicated she may be interested in joining the NOAC. She mentioned the <br /> desire of the North Olmsted Garden Club to partner with NOAC on a <br /> possible art show at the Community Cabin. <br /> Other Business: <br /> Cultural Fair with North Olmsted City Schools — NOAC member Tahani <br /> Mousa briefly discussed the upcoming May 24 Cultural Fair. Earlier in the <br /> day (Tuesday, April 16) she sent an email to all NOAC members with <br /> specifics. <br /> Community Art Project — NOAC members Susan Begin and Becky Tesar <br /> have been working on fleshing out a community art project to be part of the <br />
