Mr. <br /> Boulton recently met with Dan Crandall, Marketing and Business <br /> Development Manager for Great Northern Mall, to share artistic <br /> and creative approaches employed by the mall. <br /> Susan Begin and Becky Tesar gave an update on the recently <br /> discussed community art project. Ms. Tesar reviewed a proposal <br /> including project leads (Susan Begin, Lori Kershner and Becky <br /> Tesar), project goals, budget, collaboration requests,timeline and <br /> considerations. <br /> Becky said in her view, the group needs to determine what the <br /> NOAC's role is within the North Olmsted community, along with <br /> what the group is able/expected to do. "Baby steps are needed," <br /> she said. <br /> Nahid Parsipour said "We need to do something bigger to <br /> promote arts and culture in the City." <br /> The group discussed the upcoming Cultural Celebration (Friday, <br /> May 24 at North Olmsted High School stadium) and Homecoming <br /> 2024. <br /> Mark Mallett suggested that the upcoming concert/fireworks event <br /> on July 20 be used as a venue to facilitate the community art <br /> project. <br /> No decision was reached regarding activities in the "Big Tent" on <br /> Friday of Homecoming weekend. <br /> Mark Mallett suggested the possibility of having additional <br /> meetings for the group to have additional discussions, and <br /> possibly use those meetings for guest speakers. <br /> The meeting was adjourned at 8:14 p.m. <br />
