North Olmsted Arts Commission <br /> Minutes of June 20, 2023 Meeting <br /> Present: Keith Behrendt, Ken Srail, Nahid Parsipour, Susan Begin, Bryan <br /> O'Malley, Lori Kershner, BeckyTesar, Rick Haase. <br /> Absent: Julia Bejjani, Tahani Mousa. <br /> The meeting was called to order by Chairman Behrendt at 6:30 p.m. <br /> Minutes of the May 16, 2023 meeting were approved by the group. <br /> Updates were given by each Commission member on the Homecoming Art Show. <br /> Three different flier designs to promote the August 25, 2023 event were presented to <br /> the group. <br /> It was agreed that two of the three versions would be used: one with a focus on "A Call <br /> for Artists," and the other a generalized version to be used to promote the event to the <br /> external community. <br /> Rick Haase gave an update on the group's request for a separate North Olmsted Arts <br /> Commission email address from IT Director Eric Lundberg. <br /> Commission member Ken Srail agreed to purchase a domain for the Arts Commission, <br /> as well as to create and maintain any necessary Arts Commission email accounts. <br /> An Arts Commission page, dropdown and information on the group will be included in <br /> the City's new website when it is completed and before it goes live later this year. <br /> Commission member Nahid Parsipour presented her proposal to the group on the <br /> possible implementation of a Percent of Arts program. Commission members agreed to <br /> read the proposal, and discussion ensued. A request was made by Commission <br /> members Becky Tesar and Lori Kershner for some demographic information on the <br /> City. <br /> Rick Haase will request the information from Director of Economic and Community <br /> Development Max Upton. <br /> The meeting was adjourned at 7:39 p.m. <br />
