With six members <br /> present a quorum was achieved. <br /> In order to have the official election of officers for 2024 at the January 16, 2024 meeting, <br /> nominations for Chairman and Vice Chairman of the Arts Commission were entertained. <br /> Current Chairman Keith Behrendt will be stepping down from the Chairmanship and will <br /> become Immediate Past President in January 2024. Bryan O'Malley and Ken Srail will be <br /> stepping down as members of the Commission in January, although both said they will <br /> continue to support the group. Bryan O'Malley will continue to serve as the Commission's <br /> legal adviser through his role as Assistant Law Director for the City of North Olmsted. Ken <br /> Srail said he would continue to work with the Commission on issues of technology and <br /> photography. He recently moved out of the City of North Olmsted to Huron, Ohio. <br /> Nominations were entertained as follows: <br /> Chairman: Frank Boulton. <br /> Vice Chair: Mark Mallett. <br /> Elections will take place at the January 16, 2024 meeting. <br /> Becky Tesar gave an update on the North Olmsted Holiday Home Decorating Contest. A <br /> total of 16 entries were received. Judging continues during the week of December 20, with <br /> winners being announced on Friday, December 22, 2023. Winners will be notified by Becky <br /> Tesar and prizes will be awarded in early January to those selected. <br /> A discussion was held about the future of the group and it was agreed that a large part of the <br /> January 2024 meeting will focus on a brainstorming session for the year. <br /> Frank Boulton suggested developing a series of guest lecturers for the group including <br /> possibilities such as Matthew McKenna from the Cleveland Museum of Art, Barbara <br /> Robinson with the Ohio Arts Council, and art faculty from both Cuyahoga Community College <br /> i r <br />
