ROLL CALL: <br />Acting Chairman Pattison called the meeting to order at 5:10 p.m. <br />Present; J. Britton, D. Pattison, and B. Zergott <br />Absent: M. Case. <br />Also present: Building Commissioner D. Conway and Clerk of Commissions <br />B. Oring. <br />II. REVIEW AND CORRECTTON OF MTNUTES: <br />D. Pattison moVed that the minutes of June 17, 1987 be approved as presented, <br />seconded by B.. Zergott, and unanimously approved. <br />III. SIGNS: <br />Heard with building plans. <br />IV. OLD BUSINESS: <br />No items. <br />V. NEW BUSINESS: <br />1) Store-it-Here, southside of Lorain Rd., west of McKenzie Road <br />Proposal to construct a self service storage building. <br />(Heard by Planning Commission June 23, 1987). <br />Mr. Neff, engineer, and Mr. Dean, owner, presented revised plans and <br />colored rendering explaining that they have another supplier for the <br />pre-engineered buildings. There will be 3 buildings, the two one story <br />buildings will be placed on the property lines and their exterior walls <br />(facing the outside of the property) will be light buff split face <br />block with 2 courses of a darker tan for accent; the walls facing the <br />int.erior of the complex will be metal sided-,- roof structured will be <br />metal decking; the center two story buildi•ng is metal sided; manager`s <br />quarters in the front of the two story,building wi11 be 4. inch split <br />face block with a bronze mansard; driveways which circulate the interior <br />of the property will be closed off with wrought iron gates in front; <br />storage buildings are unheated and mechanical unit for managers area <br />wi,11 be placed behind the mansard. Building Commissioner Conway ad- <br />vised that another stainaell would be needed in center building to <br />meet code; Board had no problem with another door in building. Mr. <br />Pattison advised that a.window would also be required in the bedroom <br />of the manager's quarters even though these quarters will be occupied <br />on a shift basis, Exterior lighting will be wall mounted 35 watt, <br />high pressure sodium lights placed approximately 80 feet apart above <br />the cloors, there will be incandescent accent lighting in the front. <br />A.six foot.board on board fence is to be installed on a 3 foot mound <br />in the rear of the property with 10 to 12 foot junipers planted on the <br />outside of the fence (facing the residential property); front landscaping
