y CITY OF NORTH OLMSTED ARCHITECTURAL BOARD OF REVIEW MINUTES - NOVEMBER 18, 1987 I. ROLL CALL: Acting Chairman Britton called the meeting to order at 5:10 p,m. Fresent: J. Britton and B. Zergott Mrs. Case arrived at 5:20 p.m. Absent: D. Pattison II. REVIEW AND CORRECTION OF MINUTES: The minutes of October 21, 1987, were corrected undez item 3, line 10 to insert the work "brown" before anodi,ze:d. Should read "....Pella thermopanes with brown anodized frames..e" J. Britton moved to accept the minutes of October 21, 1987 as corrected, seconded by B. Zergott, and unanimousl_y approved. III. SIGNS: 1) First Nationwide Bank, 4701 Great Northern Blvd. Signs approved as presented with building plans. IV. OLD BUSINESS: No items. V. NEW BUSINESS: 1) Great Northern Shopping Center, Plaza South Proposal to change color on one building and definition of materials used on entire building. Heard by Planning Commission October 27, 1987. Mr. Carlisle, Biskind Development Comnany, presented the pronosal to change the color of the raspberry portion of the plaza to a beige color (Glidden 78-75), the accent color will be a lighter beige (Glidden 70-17), and the pipe columns will be changed to a darker beige (Glidden 78-51); the dark green trim and red coping will remain. He stated that after analyzing the nlaza, they determined that the raspberry building was not in keeping with the other colors which are earth tones, especially since the raspberry was adjacent to a residential area. The rear wall T•TZs repaired and subseauently repainted in the beige. NIr. Britton stated that many of the mirrors were broken and suggested that they replace these with a mirror b acked lexan. Mr. Carlisle advised that they are getting prices on various materials and will check into the lexan. Thev normally do not have prob lems with vandalism, and if this becomes an on going problem, they are going to replace the mirrors in some manner. J. Britton moved to accept the new nainting scheme as presented, seconded by B. Zergott, and unanimously approved. In reference to the material used on the entire building, Mr..Carlisle stated that in the minutes of the_initial. apnroval of Plaza South it was stated that the material to be used was Dryvit. He thought that he had stipulated a dryvit-like material and the actual material used was called Sure-Coat (the name of which has
