ROLL CALL: <br />CITY OF NORTH OLMSTED <br />PLANNING COMMISSION <br />MINUTES-DECEMBER 12-; 1989 <br />Chairman Thomas called the meeting to order at 8:00 p.m. <br />Present: . e s, R. Bierman, R. Bowen, B. Gorris, G. Knight, T. Morgan <br />and J. Thomas <br />Also Present: Assistant Law Direetor Dubelko, Chief Building Inspector <br />Sanker, Consulting City Engineer Cesen, and Clerk of <br />Commissions Oring. <br />II. REVIEW AND CORRECTION OF MINUTES: <br />R. Bowen moved to approve the minutes of November 28, 1989 as presented, <br />seconded by R. Bierman, and unanimously approved. . <br />IV. NEW DEVELOPr1ENTS AND SUBDIVISIONS: (HEARD AT THIS POINT) <br />1) Alex Kanareff and Ray Henry Assembly Plat <br />The proposal is to combine permanent parcel nos. 234-6-70 and 234-7-15 <br />into one (1) parcel. Location is the north side of Lorain Road between <br />?. Barton Road and Hickory Lane, and is the site of the proposed Davis <br />Animal Hospital, approved by Planning Commission on October 24, 1989. <br />Zoning for the proposecl parcel is Retail Business, General, entiLely; <br />frontage is and formerly was, less than required by the Zoning Code. <br />Chairman Thomas read the description of the assembly. City Engineer <br />Cesen stated that there was no problem with the proposal. A. Kanareff, <br />owner,presented the plans. In response to Mre Morgan's question, 24r. <br />Cesen advised that parcel 234-06=03 is not being landlocked. T. Morgan <br />moved that the proposal to combine permanent parcels nos.. 234-6-70 and <br />234-7-15. into one.(1) parcel, location is the north side of Lorain Road <br />betweeri Barton Road and Hickory Lane and the site of the proposed Davis <br />Animal Hospital be approved, seconded by B. Gorris, and unanimously <br />approved. <br />III. BUILDING DEPARTMENT REQUESTS: (HEARD AT THIS POINT) <br />1) Steeple' Walk Apartment Homes (formerly Atrium Apartment Homes), property <br />located south of I-480, west of S.R.252, and north of lots facing <br />Butternut Ridge Road. <br />Proposal to construct apartment complex. <br />Heard by Architectural Board of Review December 6, 1989. <br />Chairman Thomas advised that the proposal has,.been reviewed by the <br />Architectural Board of Review and the forester. The forester's report <br />(included in file) advised, in part, that if there is any additional <br />? vegetation just outside of the 50 foot buffer area it should be saved <br />and where the buffer is less dense with vegetation transplanting/planting <br />trees will be done; and, also,.on the interior of the site individual <br />and groups of trees should be plotted on the site plan and considered <br />when glanning the construction.
