OLD BUSINESS:
No items.
V. NEW BUSINESS:
1) Long John Silver's Restaurant, 25482 Lorain Road.
Proposal to construct drive-thru window on existing restaurant.
Heard by Planning Comnission October 13, 1992.
Ms. Sharon Boyle, representing Long John Silver's, explained the plans to add a
drive-thru window to the existing restaurant which will only require adding a
service window and extending the driveo She had presented a preliminary landscape
plan and explained that they prefer to keep the mounds and plants low so as not
to block the visibility of the building. One member of Planning Commission had
suggested that the drive-thru drive be relocated onto Root Road, instead of
exiting onto Lorain Road. In response to another suggestion, Ms. Boyle agreed to
install landscaping around their waste containers. She advised that they intend
to install a lighted awning, but that is to be handled separately. Building
Commissioner Conway advised that a canvass awning normally would not come before
the Board, but if the members wanted to see it they should request it at this
time. Ms. Boyle advised that there are lights on the building, but they were
planning to light the awning. Mr. Zergott would like to see a working landscape
plan prior to the Planning Commission meeting. He suggested adding some burning
bush and some evergreen material, such as mugo pine, and would like the plan to
indicate the size and x7umber of plants to be used. The members prefer that the
exit drive remain on Lorain Road and not go onto residential streets. B. Zergott
moved to accept the Long John Silver plan as presented with the stipulation that
a landscape plan is received before the next Planning Conunission meeting,
seconded by T. Gallagher, and tmanimously approved.
V. ADJOURNMIINT:
The meeting was adjourned at 5:45 p.m.
L) k4 X !!?? /U P. C?%?
tt, Chai B: Oring, G`'lerk of Commissions.
