<br />` <br />CITY OF NORTH OLMSTED <br />ARCHITECTURAL REVIEW BOARD <br />MINUTES-DECIIKBER 16, 1992 <br />I. ROLL CALL: <br />Chairman Zergott called the meting to order at 5:35 p.m. <br />Present: S. Ferencik, T. Gallagher, Y. Sohn, and B. Zergott. <br />Also present: Chief Building Inspector Sanker and Clerk of Commissions Oring. <br />II. REVIEW AND CORRECTION OF MINUTES <br />T. Gallagher moved to accept the minutes of November 17, 1992 as submitted, <br />seconded by S. Ferencik, and unanimously approved. -III. SIGNS: <br /> <br />1) Affordable Cars and Finance, 27726 Lorain Road <br />Proposal to install canopy and sign on front of building. <br />Mr. Kula, representing the owner, explained that the canopy will be across the <br />the entire front of the building and will be exactly the same as the one on the <br />side of the building. The colors are a John Boyle lime green and a Sign Master <br />Supreme neon yellow. The front wall of the btiilding will be painted gray to <br />match the side wall and will have the same green stripe. The rear building has <br />been painted this way already. There will be space for two conforming signs on <br />the awning but since the adjacent tmit is not rented, only one will be <br />installed. They plan to do some landscaping in the spring. Mr. Zergott <br />questioned if there would be a problem with painting sandstone. It was clarified <br />that the owners can paint without any approval, but Mr. Kula advised they will <br />use a Sherwin Williams paint. The members have no objection to the proposal. T. <br />Gallagher moved that the proposal to install a canopy and sign on the front of <br />the Affordable Cars and Finance building, 27726 Lorain Road, be accepted as <br />presented, seconded by Y. Sohn, and unanimously approved. <br />2) Book Sale, Great Northern Shopping Center, Suite 10A. <br />Proposal to install framed-in banner as a permanent sign. <br />No representative present. The proposal was discussed at the end of thL- <br />meeting. <br />IV. OLD BUSINESS: <br />1) Corso's (Szarka's) Restaurant, 29691 Lorain Road. <br />Proposal to install fence along front and side of office building on property. <br />Originally heard by Architectural Review Board on August 6, 1992. <br />Continued from meeting of November 18, 1992. <br />Withdrawn by the developer. <br />V. NEW BUSINESS: <br />1) Nightfall, Night Club, 30850 Lorain Road. <br />Review of site plan, and landscaping modified from previous plans which were <br />never completed. Referred by Planning Commission November 24, 1992. <br />Mr. Martin, architect, and Mr. Burt, owner of the business who also has an <br />option to by the building, presented the three proposed site plans. Several <br />neighbors were present. Mr. Martin stated that the original plan was approved <br />7.
