ROLL CALL: <br />Chainnau Burk called the meeting to order at 7:34 p.m. <br />Present: J. Kazak, W. Piar; D. Spoerke, and R. Burk <br />Absent: P. Engoglia <br />Also Present: Build.iug Commissioner Conway and Clerk of Commissions Oring. <br />II. REVIEW AND CORRECTIONS OF MINUTES: <br />J. Kazak moved to approve the minutes of September 22, 1994, seconded by W. Piar, and <br />unanimously approved. ° <br />III. COMMUNICATIONS: <br />No items. <br />IV. HEARINGS: <br />L) DiBenedetto and Companies, Charandon Plaza, 26719 and 26712 Brookpark Ext. <br />Request to have 2 electrical service for a single occupancy. Violation of 1993 National Electric <br />Code Article 230-2. <br />Mr. DiBenedetto, owner, explained that the tenant before the last tenant divided this into two <br />units, the previous tenant had used both units and the new tenant plans to do the same. Mr. <br />DiBenedetto preferred to keep both services in case the unit is ever split again. Mr. Kazak <br />explained that the problem with two services would be in the event electrical work was being <br />done and one service was turned off without the electrician realiziiig that there were two separate <br />services in one unit. Mr. Bu.rk suggested that a permauently affixed placard could be placed at <br />each service equipment location in order to warn people that there were two separate electrical <br />services for one area, but he cautioned that these should be screwed into the wall permanently. J. <br />Kazak moved to approve the request of DiBenedetto and Companies, Charandon Plaza, 26719 <br />and 26712 Brookpark Extension, to have dual electric service for a single occupancy with the <br />stipulation that a placard noting that there were two services be mou.nted permanently at each <br />electrical service location, seconded by D. Spoerke, and unanunously approved. <br />2) Michael Gareau, 6050 Barton Road. <br />Spindles on deck are 5.5 inches apart instead of 4 inches as required. Violation of section R214.2 <br />of the CABO One and Two Family Dwelling Code. Also, this structure contains a single 2 by 6 <br />header on two spans and is in violation since a header having a 5 foot span requires a uuuunum of <br />a double 2 by 6 and if there is an 8 foot span a double 2 by 8 foot header is required. Violation of <br />Section R204.6a (table). -
