. ? <br />CITY OF NORTH OLMSTED <br />BOARD OF ZONING APPEALS <br />MINiJTES - FEBRUARY 1, 1995 <br />Chainnan Gomersall called the meeting to order at 7:35 p.m. <br />Present: T. Koberna, J. Maloney, W. Purper, and R. Gomersall <br />Absent: M. J. Boyle. <br />Also Present: Law D'uector Gareau, Building Conunissioner Conway, and Clerk of <br />Commissions Oring. <br />W. Purper moved to approve the minutes of December 14, 1994 as written, seconded by T. <br />Kobema, unanimously approved. <br />Chairmau Gomersall advised those present that it would take three affirmative votes to approve <br />a request. Each case would be judged on the physical situation peculiar to itsel? so that in no <br />way is a judgment rendered considered to be a general policy judgment affecting properties and <br />like situation elsewhere. <br />Star Bank 25900 Countrv Club Blvd. Request for variance (1123.12). Request variance to use prohibited pole sign; request variance <br />to have second free standing sign; and request variance for location of pole sign which is in the <br />prohibited triangular area. Note: if variance granted pole sign must be removed by January 1, <br />1998. <br />Continued from the meeting of December .14, 1994. <br />Chairman Gomersall called all interested parties before the board. The oath was administered to <br />Mr. Holsman, sign contractor, who explained that the signs had not been changed and that they <br />had merely been temporarily covered with a banner. He clarified that the second free standing <br />sign was a directional sign that is already on the property. The members studied the pictures <br />and had no problem with the requests. W. Purper moved to graut to Star Bank, 25900 Country <br />Club Blvd., their request for a variance to have use 'a prolubited pole sign; their request to have <br />'a second free standing sign; and their request for a variance for the location of the pole sign <br />which is in the prohibited triangular area with the notation that if variance is granted the pole <br />sign must be removed by January 1, 1998. The motion was seconded by J. Maloney, and <br />unanimously approved. Variances granted. <br />2. Lisa and Rav Barelka. 6662 Wedg;ewood Dr. <br />Request for variance 1123.12. Request 2.5 foot rear yard variances to construct sun room. <br />Violation of Ord. 90-125, Section 1135.08 (2). <br />Chairmau Gomersall called all interested parties before the board. The oath was aduiinistered to <br />Mr. Zelinski, contractor. The members had no problem with the request. J. Maloney moved to <br />grant the request of Lisa and Ray Barelko, 6662 Wedgewood Drive for a 2.5 foot rear yard <br />variance to construct sun room. Violation of Ord. 90-125, Section 1135.08(2). The motion <br />was seconded by W. Purper, ancl unanimously approved. Variance granted.
