<br />CITY OF NORTH OLMSTED <br />ARCHITECTURAL REVIEW BOARD <br />MIlVUTES- JANUARY 17, 1996 <br />1. ROLL CALL: <br />Chairman Zergott called the meeting to order at 5:30 p.m. <br />Present: T. Gallagher, S. I{rieger, M. Yager, and B. Zergott. <br />Also present: Assistant Building Commissioner Ryinarczyk and Clerk of Commissions Oring. <br />H. REVIEW AND CORRECTION OF MNUTES: <br />The minutes of December 20th were corrected to read "Chairman Zergott called the meeting to order at <br />5:40, not 7:40 as stated. S. Krieger moved to approve the minutes of December 20, 1996 as corrected, <br />seconded by M. Yager. Roll call on motion: Krieger, Yager, and Zergott, yes. Mr. Gallagher abstained. <br />Motion carried. <br />III. SIGNS: <br />1) Morse Graphic Art, 25185 Lorain Road. <br />Wall sign. <br />Sign was withdrawn by applicant. <br />2) McCormick Place, 23130-23150 Lorain Road. <br />Ground sign. <br />Mr. Zingale explained that the sign will be a fabricated aluminum material with graphics reading <br />"McCormick Place" in burgundy vinyl lettering and the triangular logo would be cut out of the <br />alwninum and backed with Plexiglas. At night only the logo and "McCormick Place" would be lighted. <br />The other graphics would be vinyl applied directly to the surface. B. Zergott moved to approve the <br />McCormick Place ground sign, 23130-23150 Lorain Road, as presented, seconded by T. Gallagher, and <br />unauimously approved. <br />3) Finball Shoppe, 27693 Buttemut Ridge Rd. <br />Replacement wall sign. Mr. and Mrs. Foreman, owners, explained that they had purchased the former Dash Concepts building <br />and intend replace the existing sign. They presented a rendering showing three signs, and advised that <br />they preferred the bottom one. It will have a white background with red vinyl letters outlined in black <br />and contains their logo. Assistant Building Commissioner Rymarczyk advised that there is an existing <br />sign cabinet. Mr. Foreman explained that this is not a game room, they will sell pin ball machines and <br />other games. T. Gallagher moved to approve the Pinball Shoppe replacement wall sign, 27693 <br />Butternut Ridge Road, as presented, seconded by M. Yager, and u.nauimously approved. <br />N. OLD BUSINESS: <br />1) Scott Minnick, 30993 Lorain Rd. <br />Proposal to build storage/office building and have outdoor storage of hardscaping <br />(patio stones, bricks, and other materials used in landscaping other than plant materials). <br />Continued from meeting of December 20, 1995.
