. <br />CITY OF NORTH OLMSTED <br />ARCHITECTURAL BOARD OF REVIEW <br />MINUTES - FEBRUARY 20, 1985 <br />I. ROLL CALL: <br />Chairwoman Case called the meeting to order at 4:15 p.m. <br />Present: M. Case and S. Ebin <br />Absent: J. Cavaluchi and R. Mongello <br />Also Present: Recording Secretary B. Oring <br />II. REVIEW AND CORRECTION OF MINUTES: <br />S. Ebin moved that the Minutes of January 16, 1984 be approved as submitted, <br />seconded by M. Case, and unanimously approved. <br />III. SIGNS: <br />No items <br />IV. OLD BUSINESS: <br />a) Earl Scheib, 27105 Lorain Rd. <br />Proposal for exterior alteration to existing building. ' <br />(Continued from meeting of January 16, 1985.) <br />Mr. Liwosz, the contractor, presented the revised plans: the areas <br />that are to be sided with the charcoal gray vertical rough cedar panels <br />now include small windows with light gray shutters and finished at <br />grade with a bench like trim (approximately 10 to 12" wide in a light <br />gray smooth wood). Overhead door will be light gray (possibly rough <br />sawn cedar); pedestrian door will remain as is. Front of building and <br />small portion of east side will be completed this spring; new roof and <br />paving of parking area will be completed in the summer; and sides <br />and rear exterior will be painted later in the summer. Since parking <br />area is to be redone, the board would like some green area installed <br />if at all possible. S. Ebin moved to approve the Earl Scheib plans <br />as submitted with the suggestion that some landscaping be introduced, <br />if at all possible, at time new paving is done, seconded by M. Case, <br />and unanimously approved. <br />V. NEW BUSINESS: <br />a) Malley's Candies, 23473 Lorain Rd. <br />Proposal for exterior alteration to existing building. <br />°(.Referred.from Planning Commission February 12, 1985.) <br />Mr. Ma11ey explained that front section of building (candy store) will <br />be covered with cream vinyl siding with yellow trim; panel 15 will be <br />used above the windows where they have been cut down; entire building <br />including the pylon will be sided. The rear portion of the building <br />(radiator shop) will be covered with white vertical vinyl siding with
